It's a good idea to review your BIOS boot menus so that you can be able to boot to the proper device. My W520 ThinkPad wanted to boot to the blank SSD and I had to direct it to boot to the Windows on the hard drive. This issue is no fault of the SSD and is typical when adding an extra drive to a computer.I will be installing Windows on this SSD and using it as my boot drive. My W520 came without the 4G WiMAX, and so I'm using that spare mSATA slot for this 120 GB SSD. The W520 mSATA is SATA II, while the HDD on the W520 is SATA III capable. mSATA (Mini SATA PCI-e) is not to be confused with micro SATA. A friend of mine got a RunCore SSD for his netbook last year and was happy with it, which is why I considered RunCore for this purchase.
